Is this a scam? Are you serious?

This is not a scam and yes, I'm completely serious.

Why are you doing this?

I'm doing this for two reasons:

1. I am sincerely interested if my goal of $30,000 will be met and;
2. I like money.

What will you do with the money?

Unfortunately, nothing too exciting. I have bills and a mortgage to pay like everyone else. However, I would like to do some traveling...

Who are you?

I thought this was clear. My name is Tyler. I'm 26, live on Vancouver Island in Canada, and make a mediocre living running a number of websites. I enjoy movies, poker, and long walks on the beach.

Will I be credited for sending you money in any way?

Yes and no. All transactions to TheTylerProject will be recorded and seen by everyone via the Contributor List. There is even a top-10 list of donators. Your name (or alias) will appear on this list for as long as this site exists.

However, you will not receive anything in return for sending me money. It is not even tax-deductable since I am not a charity. Part of the rules of this experiment is for me not to give back anything in return or provide any sort of incentive to sending me money.

How can I get your autograph? Do you do private parties?

Due to an overwhelming number of e-mails, I have ceased to offer paid autographs and private appearances. I apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment caused.

Do you really think you're going to get any money?

TheTylerProject.com is actually owned and operated under Merendi Networks Inc. However, I am the founder & CEO of the corporation. Payment is sent to the corporation for legal and tax reasons since they are the legal entity of this site. However in the end, I will eventually receive the money since I am the sole shareholder of the company.

But don't worry! Your money will go directly to Merendi Networks Inc. and not wasted anywhere else such as the Red Cross or the Children's hospital.
